They provided me with excellent service, I was informed of my choices, pricing and labour was transparent and I am happy the issue has been resolved rather than patched via Halfords. Very friendly, very helpful. Car failed MOT on wheel bearing, took it to my mechanic to get sorted and rebooked retest. They allowed me to wait while MOT being done, were on time and friendly. Explained everything needed to me. Very good place, will use again

I have been taking my car to the garage for 6 years and have always had excellent, comprehensive, courteous and friendly service from the team there. As a female I've had experience in the past of garages assuming I know nothing about the workings of the combustion engine and treating me in a patronising and condescending manner. At Thatcham, I have never felt this and they have always taken the time to explain everything to me in a way that made me feel they believed I knew what they were talking about. That has always meant a huge amount to me. Most recently, the team totally went above and beyond what I could have expected in service. My car needed 3 new tyres, I took it in to have them fitted, there were only 2 there and despite Paulie's best efforts to get one there before the end of the day, I had to bring the car back the following week for fitting of the third tyre - I was absolutely fine about that, it was no problem to come back. I duly brought it back and the tyre was quickly and efficiently fitted while I waited. When I went to pay, Paulie said he wasn't going to charge for the 3rd tyre due to the inconvenience that I had experienced. I was completely overwhelmed by this incredible level of customer service. It was such a kind and generous gesture, and for this and everything else that Paulie, Josh and the team offer, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Incidentally, I have absolutely no idea as to the working of the combustion engine but appreciate being spoken to as if I do! Keep up the good work guys, and all the best for 2026.

My car developed a fault after doing the school run, took it to Thatcham MOT & Service Centre at 2pm on a Friday afternoon on the off chance it could be looked at, the fault was diagnosed, repaired and the car collected at around 4.30pm the same afternoon.
